About Dirk Knudsen
For 43 years, I have tirelessly worked to help my clients succeed in their Real Estate and business ventures here in Greater Hillsboro and Washington County, Oregon. With each sale, project, and consulting task, we have focused on the customer's needs and lifelong relationships.
This is my 62nd year living in Washington County, Oregon, and I call Hillsboro home. Very few brokers can say they have sold as many properties as I have, nor helped more people. My clients are like family to me, and many have become great friends over the years. Referrals from those wonderful people have helped me serve more people every year.
I graduated with degrees from Hillsboro High School and Portland State University, earning the Sigma Cum Laude awards and having my entire collegiate experience paid for based on Academics. I was a 5-sport athlete at HilHi and had the good fortune to grow up on small farms in Orenco/Helvetia, Scholls, and to live in the City of Hillsboro as well. I am married to my high school sweetheart (I know - corny), and we have three sons and two grandsons. We reside in Historic Orenco, Oregon, now part of the City of Hillsboro.
I volunteer as a youth coach, serve on local committees, and am active with charities and parks. Service is my focus over all things. You can count on me to support you in any way I can!

CIVIC DUTY
Dirk is currently serving as an appointed representative on the Planning and Zoning Board and has served on the Landmarks Committee. He works hard for our livability
HISTORY
Dirk is working to preserve the rich history of Washington County; volunteering at the local Museum and fundraising for trails, parks, and monuments. He has won awards from our Mayor.
WHAT MATTERS
Dirk is a activist for affordable housing options and works as a Board Member for a local charity seeking to provide all of our local citizens, especially children, a place to call home regardless of station.
Real Estate Career to Date
"I was first licensed in 1983 and worked my way through Portland State University as a Broker working for my father, Jack Knudsen, a teacher and All-American football player and coach. From there, I started Skyline Realty and Sunset Corridor Development, where I learned to manage subdivisions, build streets, survey, and design neighborhoods. Later in my career, I owned and operated Re/Max Metro with my brother Todd, where we sold and managed brokers. Re/Max awarded me the prestigious Hall of Fame before I moved on. Always looking for the best real estate model, I co-founded Platform Realty Group in Hillsboro, Oregon, which grew to a solid company, selling my interest in that boutique firm. In 2019, I joined MORE Realty, one of the fastest-growing companies in the NW, now the largest firm in Oregon. Wherever I go, I am always learning and adding technology that benefits my clients.
